Black Cat Delivery Service

We thought it was too good to be true when we first discovered this service. If anyone knows the pain of lugging a couple of heavy ski bags around the Tokyo metro system, you’ll be more than happy to pay between 2000-3000 yen (AUD$25) to have the bags couriered straight to your accommodation from the airport.

Black Cat delivery service is available at many airports including Narita International Airport, Haneda Airport, and Kansai Airport. When you are done with the customs, just look for  the Black Cat stall in the terminal you’re arriving at. See Black Cat logo below so you know what to look for when you arrive in Tokyo.

We use Black Cat Delivery Service for both sending bags to Hakuba on arrival into Japan, and sending our bags to Narita from Hakuba when we’re departing. There is a local Black Cat office in Hakuba on OLYMPIC RD in HAKUBA. You will need to have your driver's license or passport and itinerary. Each bag will cost between 2000-3000 yen depending on weight. The delivery timeframe is stated as 48 hours but they often arrive well before then.

One thing to note, please ensure you book your luggage in with Black Cat at least 48 hrs before your departure flight.
