Mountain biking is rapidly gaining in popularity in the Hakuba Valley, with Iwatake making a real push to be one of the premiere mountain biking destination in Japan. Iwatake offers gondola assisted access to the top, with a selection of flow trails catering to different skill levels on offer.

For those without experience or their own equipment, Evergreen offer a huge amount of guided adventures including but not limited to:

Hiking

There is a huge amount of hiking on offer during the green season in Hakuba. If you have your own gear, buy some maps, plan your journey and get out there!

For those without gear, places such as Evergreen and Rapies (on the main road into Hakuba) offer gear rental for reasonable prices.

Paragliding

On many summer days you can look up to the sky and see a number of paragliders - what better way to see the Alps! With Hakuba Lion Adventure you can fly immediately in tandem or take lessons with a bilingual instructor.
